Doriana - Cape Farewell - The cultural response to climate change

Featured Q&A

Doriana from Victor Sammurtok School in Chesterfield Inlet, Nunavut, Canada, joined Cape Farewell on the 2007 Youth Expedition. During the expedition the students followed science and art workshops, on which Doriana based her science project comparing scientific knowledge to Inuit knowledge.

In an interview for Cape farewell, she explains that she already sees difference in the area that she lives. The climate is becoming gentler and this makes that the animals travel up higher north, so the Inuit have to travel longer in order to catch them.
