The Glasshouse Men
An installation of lenticulars by Artist Michèle Noach
In the greenhouses at The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall
Monday 3 – Friday 28 November 2008, 10am – 5pm
In 2007 Cape Farewell visited The Lost Gardens of Heligan, pre-cursor to creation of Eden Project, as part of our long term collaboration with the Eden Project. From this start point artist Michèle Noach has worked with both Heligan and Eden Project on several projects, and is proud to invite you to the first public showing of this work.
The Glasshouse Men is an installation of lenticulars celebrating the lives of the gardeners working at Heligan up to the First World War. The artwork has been designed specifically for the glasshouses and working buildings of Heligan’s Walled Gardens and Productive Areas where occasional panes frame haunting yet beautiful lenticular images. Some of the works will also be shown at Michèle's upcoming exhibition at the Curwen Gallery, London, 3 - 24 December 2008.
