Cape Farewell presents ARCTIC at the Chicago Humanities Festival

In November 2007, Cape Farewell presented ARCTIC at the Chicago Humanities Festival to over 9,000 visitors.  The collaboration between British sound artist Max Eastley and video artist David Buckland featured work created in the High Arctic. The stunning Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago’s Millennium Park was the perfect backdrop to this unique Cape Farewell collaboration. Eastley’s ARCTIC composition, which premiered in Hamburg in April 2007, is created from found sounds recorded in the arctic; bearded seals calling underwater, microphones imbedded in glaciers, wind, walruses and 5000 year old ice 'popping' was presented alongside a projection of Buckland’s video installation onto the glass wall of the Pritzker stage. ARCTIC sound and visual installation

Artists David Buckland and Max Eastley present a sound and visual installation ARCTIC featuring work created in the High Arctic as part of the Cape Farewell project. The installation is presented at the Pritzer Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park as part of the Chicago Humanities Festival.
