In Spring 2007 Cape Farewell exhibited in the vast industrial space of the Kampnagel Cultural Centre with Cape Farewell - Art & Climate Change, the exhibition developed with the Natural History Museum in 2006. The show features Stranded, Heather Ackroyd & Dan Harvey's 6-metre long crystal-encrusted Minke whale skeleton; End of Ice, David Buckland's 28' video projection of the demise of an iceberg; Nymark (Undiscovered Island), Alex Hartley's topographically inspired photographic installation of his 'new' Arctic island and Siobhan Davies' ephemeral projection of a lone dancer, Endangered Species.

A series of artists' talks and events took place during the exhibition, including a discussion between novelist Ian McEwan, Professor John Schnellnhuber, Germany's recently appointed Chief Government Advisor on Climate and Related Issues, and David Buckland, artist and Director of Cape Farewell.

At Hamburg's Planetarium, Cape Farewell artist Max Eastley performed ARCTIC with collaborator Dave Hunt and Westwerk hosted a new performance work by William Hunt. Following the G8 Summit in June 2007, Cape Farewell and the Tipping Point Group organised a climate change conference in Potsdam, the first of its kind in mainland Europe.

In Hamburg, the exhibition of Cape Farewell - Art & Climate Change was made possible by support from the British Council, Germany. The exhibition was created in partnership with the Natural History Museum, and has been made possible with support from Arts Council England, Cape Farewell's major arts funder. Also supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, The Bromley Trust, Toshiba, IXOS and plusequals, and our Hamburg partners Kampnagel Cultural Centre
