Francesca Galeazzi
Architect/Engineer
Francesca joined Cape Farewell on the 2008 Disko Bay Expedition, visiting the spectacular Disko Bay area of West Greenland with over 40 international artists, journalists and scientists.
Francesca Galeazzi is an architectural engineer working as environmental sustainability specialist. She has been working for Arup and Arup Associates since 1999. In her profession she has developed a thorough understanding of environmental policies and strategies relating to sustainable development, broad environmental issues, appropriate technology for developing countries and extreme climates, sustainability and energy conservation. Since 2002 she has regularly lectured on sustainable development in architecture at London Metropolitan University and is active in promoting sustainable design in UK and abroad.
Francesca is also a practicing artist, working mainly with sculptural installations and site specific interventions. In 2007 she was awarded a Masters in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.
